Seagars is an independent valuation and property consultancy practice based in Auckland. The firm was founded in 1981 and since that time has grown into one of Auckland’s and New Zealand’s largest private valuation practices. We operate from two offices, Auckland Central and Botany Junction.
The company operates as a limited liability company through a Board of four working directors and practises from two offices in Auckland.
Seagars have an extensive involvement in the valuation of commercial and industrial properties throughout Auckland including allied services such as rental valuations and arbitrations, building insurance certificates and property consultancy. The firm also has a number of valuers practicing in the residential field carrying out day to day valuations for mortgage and market value purposes. Rural valuations including dairy and dry stock farms, horticultural and horse breeding units are undertaken from our Botany office.
Seagars are accredited panel valuers for the major property financing banks in Auckland and carry out funding valuations for a wide range of public and private/investor development company clients.
In addition to being extensively involved in the Auckland property market Seagars undertakes valuation assignments throughout the North Island and on a national basis for its clients. These assignments have been for financial institutions, property investors and national companies for a variety of purposes.
Property advisory work includes appraisals of property portfolios held by listed and non-listed property companies, property development valuations and an extensive involvement in leasehold land holdings both in Auckland and throughout the North Island for land owning clients.
Seagars strength lies in the commercial valuation experience of its directors and senior valuation staff, the ability to apply this experience to a particular valuation project and to gather and analyse the information necessary to meet the objectives of that project with a strong emphasis upon computerised valuation techniques and data storage/retrieval.
